Massive attacks in Kharkiv region — results of the past day

In the Kharkiv region, massive shelling continued throughout the day on December 24 and in the morning of December 25, causing significant damage and casualties. Fighting between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Russian occupiers also continues. 

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

Kharkiv region under enemy fire: damage, casualties and evacuation

On Wednesday, December 25, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:29 a.m., the enemy attacked the city of Kharkiv. There were hits in the Saltovskyi, Kyivskyi and Nemyshlyanskyi districts. So far, six people have been reported injured. Fires broke out in non-residential buildings and are still being extinguished by rescuers.

Where and how the enemy attacked Kharkiv region on December 24

It is reported that on December 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the village of Vyshneva of the Savyn community of the Izyum district, three residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged as a result of a UAV attack.

Also, at 3:45 p.m., an FPV drone hit the road surface in the city of Kupiansk, Kupiansk axis.

Hostilities in the Kharkiv region

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy made five attempts to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Vovchansk and Vysoka Yaruga. All of them were unsuccessful.

In the Kupiansk axis, Russian troops conducted offensives near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attacks, and eight more battles are ongoing.

As a result of intensified evacuation measures, 46 people, including two children, were evacuated from the Kupiansk and Borivske directions.

As a reminder, powerful explosions occurred in Kharkiv in the morning, with casualties. A short time later, powerful repeated explosions occurred in the city.
