Russia attacked Kharkiv with a new drone — the consequences
During the afternoon of November 12, Russian troops struck Kharkiv with a new type of drone, "Molniya". As a result of another attack, civilians were injured and residential buildings were damaged in the Saltivskyi and Slobidskyi districts of the city.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv region Dmytro Chubenko for Novyny.LIVE on Tuesday, November 12.
UAV attack on Kharkiv on November 12
Chubenko stated that Russian troops struck Kharkiv with a new type of unmanned aerial vehicle "Molniya" at about 2:00 p.m.
"This is a small UAV, which is very simple in its design and cheap to manufacture. It is made of plywood and plastic. In terms of size, it is something between a large household drone and a Shaheed," the spokesman for the prosecutor's office noted.
He added that the range of the enemy drone is about 40 kilometers. It is also capable of carrying various types of weapons, weighing up to five kilograms.
"This indicates that the Russians are not achieving the desired results on the battlefield and therefore are attacking civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. This UAV is not capable of destroying a building, but civilians and passers-by often suffer from it," Chubenko emphasized.
Consequences of the enemy strike
According to the head of the Kharkiv RMA, Oleg Synegubov, the drones hit the Saltivskyi and Slobidskyi districts of the city.
Two women, aged 50 and 53, were injured as a result of the strike on the Saltivskyi district. It is noted that they received an acute stress reaction and minor shrapnel wounds. In addition, after the attack, a damaged electrical tower was found, as well as broken windows in two high-rise buildings.
There were also injured people in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv.
"A 60-year-old woman was injured as a result of a UAV strike, medical assistance is being provided on the spot. There is damage to an 11-story residential building," Sinegubov wrote.
It should be reminded that on the evening of November 11, Russian troops once again struck Kharkiv. An explosion was heard in the city, repeated launches were possible.
The Kharkiv RMA reported that the enemy used an S-300 (S-400) missile for the strike.
